Being a professional illustrator can be a tricky thing. The 9 to 5 idea is a joke, and often times the work day can spill way into the wee hours of the night. So, mix in a family and a life, and you really only have a pocket full of time left out of every day to create your own work. (A very, very small pocket.)
Over the years I’ve managed to work on a few things of my own, but just recently I have had the fires of creativity burning deep within me and have been working on a new body of work daily. So be patient, and check in from time to time. I will be adding new stuff as I complete it. COLOR- There are more color pieces coming soon. (You’ll notice that there are two images with a girl riding a fish. The reason is simple- the first image I did just because the image came to me, but the second was done when it was suggested that I ought to write a children’s book based on the first image.) BLACK AND WHITE- Only one so far. I’m working on it.
GLORIFIED DOODLES- I commute to work 3 hours every day. Sometimes I spend it zoned out and doodling, and every now and then a doodle takes on a life of it’s own. I call these “Glorified Doodles” because that is what they are. They’re all done in ball point pen and can take weeks to complete because let’s face it, drawing on a speeding, crowded train is not the easiest thing in the world.
MISCELLANEOUS- These are just bits and pieces that don’t seem to fit anywhere else. There are essentially quickies that I do when I just want to play around for a little while.
